The NHNH is a personable, welcoming building featuring:
- 4 Private Rooms, 10 Semi-Private Rooms and 14 ward rooms
- A “least restraint” facility with key pad access
- Transition room for varying levels of care
- Library, Sunrooms, TV Areas
Recreational & Therapeutic Activities
Our scheduled recreational programs are categorized into five therapeutic domains; social, physical, intellectual, emotional & spiritual. Each domain has a set of goals & objectives to ensure that our residents are as fulfilled as possible, for their well-being.
- Church Services: Weekly interdenominational services with pastoral visits available upon request.
- Daisy Readers: An extensive selection of digital audiobooks to support residents with visual impairments, offering easy and enjoyable access to reading.
- Entertainment: Large-screen Smart TVs on every floor for Netflix movie matinees, news programs, game shows, YouTube videos, and sing-alongs. Pianos are also available for musical entertainment.
- Family Council Meetings: Regular gatherings providing family members and friends of residents opportunities for peer support, education, and collaboration to enhance the long-term care experience.
- Games Area: A dedicated space offering various games, puzzles, crosswords, word finds, cards, and dice activities for enjoyable social engagement.
- Hairdressing Services: On-site hair salon and barber services provided weekly, promoting relaxation, social connection, and personal grooming.
- Library: Fully stocked libraries on both main and upper levels featuring an extensive selection of small- and large-print books for reading pleasure.
- Pet Therapy: Visits from trained volunteers with certified therapy pets, providing therapeutic and emotional benefits through interaction with friendly animals.
- Residents’ Council Meetings: An independent, resident-led council offering a collective voice for all residents, empowering active participation in decisions affecting their home environment.

- Immediate access to emergency medical care 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

Physiotherapy Services
All new residents are assessed shortly after admission to determine an appropriate physiotherapy plan. Our goal is to maintain and restore each resident’s abilities and strengths through personalized physical programs designed to meet individual needs.
