Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home seeks two Board Members to help lead a new era of care
(Simcoe, ON) – Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home (NHNH) is entering an exciting new chapter — one that includes planning for a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the future needs of long-term care in Norfolk County.
As we proudly celebrate 50 years of service, we are seeking two new members to join our Board of Directors — and we’re inviting individuals who care about community, equity, and the future of healthcare to step forward.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference. As a board member, you’ll help guide strategy, provide oversight, and support transformative projects that will impact generations to come.
“We are seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors to help shape the future of the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home,” said Ken Robb, Chair of the NHNH Board of Directors. “As we plan for a new, modern facility, this is a pivotal time to get involved. Our goal is to ensure that every resident continues to receive the high-quality care they deserve — in a place they truly call home. The Board plays an essential role in guiding that vision forward.”
The Board of Directors is made up of up to 10 elected volunteers who help ensure care is delivered where it’s needed most — with dignity, compassion, and integrity. Board members are responsible for oversight of NHNH’s strategy, financial stewardship, risk management, and overall performance.
We’re seeking individuals who:
• Support NHNH’s mission and vision
• Believe in advancing care for older adults with dignity and respect
• Are ready to contribute time, energy, and leadership to board and committee work
• Bring a collaborative, thoughtful approach to decision-making
• Help strengthen NHNH’s visibility and connections in the community
• Follow board policies on ethics, conflict of interest, and confidentiality
Experience in business management, financial oversight, legal expertise, governance, or risk management is an asset — but not required. We value lived experience, diverse perspectives, and a shared commitment to enriching lives through compassionate care.
