Date issued: Thursday, April 2, 2026
Simcoe, ON – The Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home (NHNH) is inviting community members to apply to join its Board of Directors.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable leadership experience.
NHNH is planning for the future of long-term care in Norfolk County, including work toward a new and modern nursing home. Board members will help guide this work and support decisions that shape care for residents today and into the future.
Board members play an important role in:
- Setting strategic direction
- Supporting high-quality resident care
- Providing financial and governance oversight
- Helping plan for future growth and redevelopment
“Board members play an important role in helping guide the future of our home,” said Marg Bailey, Chair of the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home Board of Directors. “We welcome community members who want to contribute their experience and help support high quality care for our residents.”
The Board of Directors is made up of volunteer members from the community who help guide the organization and support its mission.
NHNH welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. Skills in finance, healthcare, law, governance, or business are helpful, but not required. Diverse perspectives strengthen decisions and support better care.
